ABSOLUTE LANDSCAPING SOLUTIONS
Absolute Landscaping Solutions is an owner-operated family business led by John and Eve Bornhauser, delivering high-quality outdoor construction across Auckland’s North Shore, Rodney, and Kaipara. We specialise in retaining walls, decks, and hard landscaping, with a particular focus on larger engineered wall projects, stabilisation work, and challenging sites.
John began his career in construction more than 20 years ago, starting out erecting sheds before moving into outdoor landscape construction. Over time, he developed a strong interest in more demanding projects involving levels, structure, access, and long-term site performance. That progression has led the business toward the kind of work it is best known for today: practical, well-built solutions that go beyond surface appearance and are designed to last.
Most of our work is residential, with selected commercial projects where the fit is right. We are particularly well suited to clients looking for high-end workmanship, durable construction, and a team that is comfortable dealing with complex sites, demanding retaining work, and projects where doing it once and doing it properly matters.

The business was founded on a simple idea: Do things properly. That means using quality materials, paying attention to the details that matter, and refusing to take shortcuts that create problems a few years down the track. John is known for building with longevity in mind, often taking a more robust approach where it counts, while still knowing where money can be spent wisely for the best result. The aim is not to overcomplicate a project, but to make sure it performs well, looks right, and stands the test of time.
Eve manages the business and administration side, while John remains closely involved on site, overseeing the work and ensuring it is carried out to a high standard. Together with a small team of experienced and motivated staff, they take pride in delivering projects that are both technically sound and well finished.
